The ambience is incredible. Very eclectic and engaging decorations and a wonderful gift shop. Now to the food. I'm not big on salads, but the salad was out of this world!! I also got a slice of sausage pizza, which was tasty. The crust was a little dry, but I still loved it. The customers all seemed to be having a great time. Very family friendly.

Second time here, and both have been great. Had a pie the first time and we did a calzone this visit. The pies and calzone are both big enough to give leftovers for lunch the next day, and all taste very good. Ours was pepperoni, ham and mushrooms and service was pretty fast. If you like stained glass, ask for seating in the indoor patio. Beautiful windows there. The Magnitude 72 Pale Ale was very hoppy and an excellent beer choice for IPA lovers.

We placed an order for pick up and boy was this place super cute & cool! They have live music, make their own beers and sodas and the pan pizza is good! The garlic butter is a must! I loved it so much that I brought some home.

We were in a hurry after a UF event, stopped in for slices to go. Ordered ahead (bacon slice, mushroom slice). Fast friendly service on phone and at pickup. Bacon slice - lots of freshly cooked bacon; mushroom slice had tons of diced fresh mushrooms. Dough was fluffy, with good chew / pull. Cheese even, tasty. Sauce - excellent with a slight spicy kick. A nice surprise! The outside and inside lots of funky decor. Looking forward to our next visit, when we can dine in.

Satchel's is definitely a Gainesville staple pizza spot. The decor is so fun and eclectic! Staff are really friendly and there is a to go section in the back with a bar and toy store. We started with the homemade soda flight. Our favorite soda was the ginger ale, but we also loved the lemonade! I normally hate root beer, but their version was honestly so good. We got the Satchel's salad and I was blown away. They use such high quality ingredients and are very generous with the portion size. I loved the apple slices, toasted almonds and cheese. We got a slice of the pan pizza with spinach, ricotta, and artichoke hearts. Not my favorite pan pizza but definitely a good option. Lastly, we ordered a slice of the cheese pizza to go, and the crust was absolutely phenomenal. We were blown away. The sauce had a spicy cake and a beautiful umami flavor. So glad we gave this spot a try! I see why it's a fan favorite.

This is a "not to be missed" place in Gainesville. It's worth a visit even if it's just to see the funky and ever so creative decor. Be sure to tour the full place before you leave, as there are lots of interesting things to see toward the back and the sides. Now for the food - I had a pretty amazing gluten sensitive pizza. It's actually called Millet and Flax Pizza and it tastes so much better than it might sound. The "Tiny" was not so tiny. The menu is very clear that this is "gluten sensitive" and has traces of gluten. So - Celiacs beware. The crust was thin and tasty, the sauce was great, and the cheese was good quality. It's hard to find good gluten sensitive pizza and this one was particularly good. The Satchel Salad was filled with delicious things and the Calzone was generous in size and tasty. It was nice to get an outside table and the service was excellent. I look forward to returning and will save my appetite when I do.

4.5 stars Such a quirky pizza joint, definitely very cool and special vibes. The place is decked out in random knickknacks affixed to the walls outdoors. There's also a hollowed out VW van that you can dine in as well as various outdoor/indoor seating. They also have a little shop with Satchel branded merch as well as little toys and trinkets. The entire place is just so cute and fun, there's so many little details to enjoy and makes you feel like a kid. We decided to eat in the VW van which was a fun little experience. We got the $9 lunch special which comes with a single topping pizza (+ $0.75 per additional topping) and a salad. The salad was quite a generous portion and quite yummy with apple slices, greens, sunflower seeds and other fun things mixed in. We each opted for two topping slices and the slices are HUGE so the lunch special is definitely a filling enough portion. The pizza is good but the crust was a little hard. I usually try not to waste pizza crusts but I couldn't finish this one because it was just so tough which is unfortunate because the bits I did eat tasted yummy, like it had garlic butter on it or something. Additionally, the sausage tasted a little funky, which threw me off. It kinda tasted like veggie meat almost which was a little weird. We also ordered a soda flight since they're known for their homemade sodas. It was $6 for the flight or $3 for one. I'm not much of a soda person but these ones weren't bad as they weren't overly carbonated. Honestly, all of them are similar to their branded versions but less carbonated. Some are a little sweeter and some are less sweet. The Stevie one is the closest to a normal Coca Cola. The lemonade one is just sweetened lemon juice. The lemon-lime is a less fizzy sprite. The ginger ale has a strong ginger smell but a very mild ginger taste. We also got an extra soda that was unlabeled but which we deduced to be a grape soda. I think the flight is a good fun choice if you aren't a big soda/sugar person or want to try a little of everything. We also got a brownie which was cake-y and the frosting was sweet like a chocolate cream cheese almost. It was really cute - you can look at the pictures of the desserts in one of those old Viewfinder things we had as kids. Overall, good bang for your buck portion-wise and absolutely 100/10 on uniqueness/quirkiness of experience but the taste of the food was just lacking a bit. Absolutely need to visit spot when in Gainesville. Truly unlike any other place

Fav place in Gainesville for pizza. The place itself is super artsy and quirky. There's ample seating both inside and outside. The deep dish pizza is great. The center doesn't get soggy even though it's packed with sauce and toppings, and the edges are crispy. Goes great with the salad too.

This restaurant has the best salad! It's a bit sweet and bit salty but tastes great with just the right amount of toppings and dressing. Their pizzas are good size but the price adds up quick if you go with many toppings. Their homemade cane sugar soda is a nice difference from all other places. Outdoor seating is kid friendly and the vibe of the whole place is super fun!
